As a Technical Program Manager, you'll be part of a team of highly skilled technical professionals whose primary responsibilities include the engineering and operations of mission critical security infrastructure that delivers significant business value to Nordstrom and its customers. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement. In this role, you will bring technical program management expertise to drive high priority projects aligned to major enterprise security initiatives. This position works across department and functional lines on a variety of programs that range in scope, risk, and complexity.

What you'll be doing
  • Provide program management expertise to drive tactical and strategic efforts for various critical security systems and services, including Data Protection, Anti-Malware, Email Security, Endpoint Detection and Response, and Security Event Management
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with our business customers, suppliers, and partners
  • Combines full understanding of concepts, theories and principles with business insights and manages moderately complex programs
  • Knows who customers are and communicates technical requirements to dependent teams. Defines data requirements in both technical and business terms that inform the success of programs
  • Uses customer lens to create data measurements to quantify measures for success and recognizes gaps in technical and operational KPI's
  • Possesses base level knowledge of technology (e.g., Cloud, APIs, services, Windows stack, open source, database technologies, etc.)
  • Possesses broad understanding of end-to-end capability and applies engineering lifecycle knowledge to feature design, task estimation, design review, story creation, triage, schedule, and performance standards
  • Develops OKRs, KPIs, and various reports for progress visibility
  • Understands and identifies estimates of effort to complete engineering work streams

Qualifications:
  • A 4-year degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Project or Program Management experience
  • 3+ years of demonstrated successful program delivery
  • Management of programs with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Agile scrum
** The team for this role is in Seattle. If you are already located in one of our hubs (Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, or Los Angeles), you can work from that location. However, if you are located elsewhere, you must be open to relocating to Seattle or one of our hubs once employees return to the office.
