Sr. Quality Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Duration: 12 months

Payrate: $55-60/hr.

• In this position, the incumbent should display a basic understanding of the Product Engineering and Quality Management System concepts. Under the direction of a supervisor, this person will be responsible for following Baxter quality policies to sustain product quality and ensure compliance.
• He/she will utilize sound statistical and engineering techniques/tools to approach and solve problems. As Quality Reviewer, he/she will perform document reviews to support sustaining and remediation activities, and design and labeling changes.
• He/she will support change control activities.
• With the help of a supervisor, this role formulates and recommends engineering technical work and contributes to significant remediation activities, design changes, enhancement of products and processes, and other projects as necessary, in accordance with business objectives.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Utilizes engineering product development/process knowledge to solve straight forward problems. (e.g., FMEA, Design of Experiments, Molding, etc.).

• Performs standard engineering assignments to support remediation and sustaining efforts, including using change controls, and assists cross-functional teams in identification of risks. Supports product testing to ensure product conformance to specifications.
• Provides support for sustaining and remediation activities, including design updates as necessary, and guides team through the development process to ensure compliance to quality systems. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. BS in Engineering. 1 – 4+ years’ experience.
  • Experience with design controls required.
  • Experience with disposable medical devices desired. Capable of communicating and driving cross-functional teams globally.
  • Ability to communicate up courses of action with minimal assistance using both written and verbal methods.
