P/T Room Attendant - Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn

The award winning Best Western Plus Novato Oaks Inn has an immediate need for a part-time Room Attendant on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The cleanliness of the hotel, linens and guestrooms is a key to meeting our hotel quality and guest standards. Thus, attention to every job detail is very important to the success of the hotel and achieving and exceeding job performance requirements. The Room Attendant cleans guest rooms by stripping beds and bathroom of dirty linen, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing bathroom, remaking bed, replacing towels, bath mat and shower curtain, and replacing all amenities, etc. The Room Attendant reports anything in the guest room that needs repair and/or replacement. The Room Attendant is helpful and friendly to guests. The Room Attendant reports any found item left by guest to Executive Housekeeper or front desk as soon as found. The position is based on occupancy, so if hotel is busy, you will work the advertised days. BUT weekends will be required.

This position is required work weekends and holidays during your regular scheduled days.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be able to arrive to work on time when scheduled.

Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles.

Must be able to communicate and understand supervisor and guests in English.

Must be able to read and identify chemical product labels for the correct purpose and machines.

Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position: constantly stand and walk up to 6-8 hours a day; climb stairs; repetitive and constant grasping/gripping, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; and frequent stoop, kneel, and bend up to 5-7 hours a day; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or squat up to 2 hours a day, ability to lift, carry and move constantly 11 to 29 pounds, frequently 30 - 49 pounds, and occasionally 50 -75 pounds, push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs. intermittently (2-3 hours a day).

Vision requirements: must be able to constantly (6-8 hours a day) need to see small details (close vision) and things clearly beyond arms' reach (distance vision), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Hearing requirements: must be able to constantly (6-8 hours a day) hear and talk.

Must be able to keep up with the demands of the department.
