Field Services Technician - Department Of Corrections (Wheelwright, KY)

Description:

TEKsystems Government Field Services team is looking for a "jack of all trades" IT technician with excellent technical skills, along with having one who always wants to learn and evolve their skills at all time. Excellent customer service skills and communication are a MUST.

In addition, this person MUST also be comfortable working in a prison environment and MUST be able to pass a stringent background check and drug test.

Candidates will need to work on desktops, laptops, tablets, copiers, and any type of mobile device. The candidate may also assist with server support, switch support, and wiring. All candidates must have a valid driver’s license. Prior work in a ticketing system is a plus, but not a necessity.

DAILY/WEEKLY JOB DUTIES

• This person will provide technical support to the medium security prison site

• Support around 150-200 end users

• 70% desk side support, 30% helpdesk/remote support

• Deployment of new computers and other equipment

• Imaging/Reimaging machines

• Installing software & troubleshooting any software issues

• Will be responsibilities involving cabling, security cameras, server support, and networking.
