CNC Operator/Machinist

Our company is searching for a talented and experienced CNC Machine Operator to oversee our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.

Job Duties:

• Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling and milling.

• Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available as well as anticipating needed stock.

• Program mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math and geometry.

• Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three-and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.

• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

• Ensure the CNC machine functions in accordance with the guidelines of the company.

• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.

• Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.

• Will be responsible for programming in Mastercam

• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Will be responsible for programming in Mastercam

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required

• 1 year experience as a CNC Machine Operator

• 1 year experience in programming in Mastercam

• Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings

• Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude

• Strong comprehension and analytical abilities

• Good computer and mathematical skills

• Ability to stand for long periods

• Must be able to report to work - no remote work possible

• Must be able to lift 15 lbs consistently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
