About this job

Direct, coordinate and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of aluminum high pressure die casting, machining and light assembly manufacturing plant including operations, quality, maintenance, product/process engineering, human resources and purchasing.  Develop processes that maximize productivity, quality and safety.  Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.  Use theories of engineering control and computation for machine electronics, process control and analytical and digital instrumentation for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and datanet hydraulics systems of Buhler aluminum high pressure die casting machines.  Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.  Allocate resources effectively and utilize assets of Buhler die cast machines and machining centers to produce optimal results.  Lead daily shift change meetings with supervisors, maintenance, process engineers and VP of industrial for die cast and machining department and monitor operations, down-time and quality and implement corrective actions as needed.  Lead daily production meetings with engineering department, maintenance, shipping and finance teams to review production output and implement corrective actions as needed and  collect and analyze data to identify waste.  Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.  Lead weekly meetings with human resources and safety departments to review hourly workforce scheduling and planning, review safety incidents, safety procedures and implement corrective actions as needed and address and resolve employee issues.  Stay up to date with latest production management, manufacturing equipment and quality best practices and concepts, lean manufacturing Black Belt Six Sigma and automotive manufacturing production requirements for automotive OEMs. 

Require bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2 years of management experience gained in an   aluminum high pressure die casting foundry and machining plant that provides services to the OEM automotive industry.
