Job Identification:

Salary: $21.00 Per hour

Job Summary:
The Dispatch Driver assists the Logistic Management team running day to day dispatch, routing, and Logistics. This Driver will assist in supervising the logistics team when they are scheduled to Dispatch Logistics. The remainder of scheduled shifts will drive as their regular Class A or Class C role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•	Assist in coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day workflow of employees.
•	As requested by the Logistics Manager, offers input with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Duties/Responsibilities:
•	Assists the Logistics Manager in monitoring employee performance, identifying and facilitating opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency.
•	Assists in scheduling store shipments, special activities, and trash disposal, including hazardous waste, in an effective and efficient manner.
•	Ensures proper handling and disposal of trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste.
•	Assists with all necessary paperwork including daily truck and driver reports, collection reports, BIT inspections, CHP inspections, and accident reports.
•	Enforces safety practices and procedures and prepares related reports.
•	Audits first aid kits and road safety equipment.
•	Use Kaizen methods of efficiency with continued focus on the most efficient routing of trucks, reduction in trash, and effective organization of the warehouse.
•	Provides required safety equipment; ensures that all equipment is in working condition.
•	Assists in monitoring GPS systems to ensure drivers are working as scheduled and in an efficient manner.
•	Assists in monitoring, counting and updated inventory reports.   
•	Performs routine safety checks on all trucks before and after being driven.
•	Properly follows OSHA specifications regarding lockout/tagout procedures.
•	Assists in scheduling and overseeing regular maintenance on all vehicles and roll-off containers, ensures the work is done correctly and economically.

 
•	Responsible for a neat, clean, and organized facility.
•	Responsible for maintaining dock and warehouse walkways clear of bins, boxes, pallets and other equipment. 
•	Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.

Required Skills/Abilities:
•	Bilingual preferred.
•	Knowledge and experience in motorized equipment, experience driving 26,000 lb. GVW vehicles.
•	Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•	Ability to speak/read/write proficient English.
•	Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
•	Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
•	Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.
•	Excellent time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks.
•	Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•	Honesty, integrity, reliability, punctuality.
•	Wear appropriate protective footwear.
•	May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
•	Thorough knowledge about company’s mission, services, and policies.

Physical Requirements:
•	Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 75 pounds at times.
•	Ability to bend/squat/stoop.
•	Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
•	Free from drug and alcohol abuse.

Requirements

Required Experience:

Individuals must have a valid driver’s license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle, and a clean driving record.  

•	Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle.
