Description

Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is interviewing for full time or part time Lunch and Dinner Line Cooks. Hot line cooking experience in a full service restaurant is helpful but not required. Weekends are required.

Join our team for the opportunity to be promoted to Lead Line Cook, Shift Supervisor or Sous Chef.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate should have minimum of 2 years of experience in Italian High volume restaurant, able to work pizza, grill, pasta, sauté, pantry and/or dessert.

Responsibilities include:
* Cooking and preparing menu items in accordance to recipes and standards set by the Chef and Il Fornaio
* Stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line
* Preparing and portioning recipes prior to service
* Maintaining a clean and professional appearance
* Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
* Maintaining a positive teamwork attitude
* Communicating clearly, professionally and respectfully
* Being able occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* Having a flexible work schedule including weekend availability and holidays

Prior experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, Pantry, Grill, Pasta, Pastry, Pizza, Sauté is highly desirable.
