Job Description
Surgical Ophthalmology practice looking for an individual with an interest in healthcare and medicine to work closely with the doctor as a medical assistant. Ideally looking for a dedicated full time and long term individual to join our team but we will accept individuals post graduation looking for experience for 1-2 years in the medical field before attending post graduate education programs (MD, PA, NP, etc).
Various duties include patient work-up and history, performing diagnostics tests (OCT, Visual Field testing, fundus photography), charting, basic office work, and patient education.
Applicant must be responsible and dependable. Experience with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment is preferred, but we will train the right person. $2,000 bonus AFTER 2 years of service and employer sponsored SEP IRA contribution of 20% of salary AFTER 3 years of employment. 1 week PTO after first year of employment. Base pay will increase with time and loyalty!
