Counter Sales (Entry Level)

Nash Building Systems is hiring a customer service/counter sales rep for our new location opening in Pender County. The chosen applicant will interact with customers daily from our front desk via phone, email, and walk-ins. This person will handle the full end-to-end experience for many customer touches, but will also be responsible for directing calls to the appropriate contact within the company as required. Finally, this hire will be responsible for several administrative functions including taking payments, issuing credits, and directing shipping/receiving traffic.

Job functions:

-Assist customers independently whenever possible or direct their call elsewhere as the situation requires

-Maintain clear transactional records of estimates, sales, credits, and errors.

-Quote basic metal building and metal roofing material lists

-Work with management to relay important customer info to the correct party

-Communicate with plant to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

-Make contact with existing customers to coordinate order pickups

Job requirements:

-High school diploma

-Some experience in a customer facing role

-Reliability. We are very flexible with time off if notice is provided, but having someone in-seat every morning at 8 AM is essential

-High level of attention to detail. Mistakes will happen, but a real focus on minimizing them through clear communication with customers is crucial.

-Excellent time management skills. Many days will require you to prioritize a long list of tasks.

-We are a manufacturing company, but our customers are in the construction business. For that reason, experience in metal buildings, metal roofing, or other construction-related field is preferred though not required.

-those applicants who are proficient in writing and speaking both Spanish and English will be given strong consideration

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

-Hourly rate of $16-$20 based on aptitude and experience
