An Experienced Journeyman Level Diesel Technician/Mechanic is needed to perform the following maintenance work on a Fleet of Extensive Diesel Engine Medium to Heavy Duty Trucks and Trailers for our client in Roseville, MI:

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Job Description:

• The chosen candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers under minimal supervision.

• Repairs will include Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, tire repairs, warranty procedures, driveline, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting and AC.

• Other duties may be assigned by the shop manager.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be Able To:

• Read codes and instructions on the computer

• Document repairs on the computer

Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Primary Duties:

• Preventative Maintenance

• Oil changes

• Air/hydraulic brakes

• Suspensions

• Transmissions

• General Maintenance

Qualified Candidates For Diesel Technician/Mechanic Position Will Have The Following Education/Experience:

• 3 years of experience OR Proven Medium to heavy duty vehicle repair is required.

• A CDL is preferred OR Must have the ability to obtain one.

• Must possess a set of hand tools up to 3/4".

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Must possess a valid clear driver's license.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Trade school, mechanical course, or equivalent highly desired.

Working Conditions:

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
