Role Purpose Statement
Seeking an outgoing candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing the food quality and food safety initiatives and is focused on delivering a quality product to our customers. This candidate needs to monitor and engage employees in all safety and performance initiatives. 

Main Accountabilities
Supervisor Responsibility

Ensure compliance with all Global Quality Standards 9GQS), HACCP, FDA, USDA requirements as well as other regulatory agencies and customer quality requirements.
Partners with leadership to ensure audit readiness
Regularly trains all employees on proper food safety, hygiene and handling procedures
Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed and that all delivery times are being met 
Conduct daily work group meetings
Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agency standards (example: Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), etc.)
Document and follow up on all department processes to implement improvements
Monitor and ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
Other duties as deemed necessary
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
One to three years of related work experience required 
Proven analytical and leadership skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and HACCP regulations
Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combines with an aptitude for multi-tasking
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer application
ServSafe Manager Certification
Bilingual preferred

Required qualifications:

  • 18 years or older
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • 5+ years of experience in the food & restaurant industry
  • Math skills: calculating percentages
  • Math skills: tracking inventory usage
  • At least associate's degree or higher
  • Management skills: supervising employees
  • Management skills: reporting infractions
  • Management skills: managing employee conflicts
  • Able to stand for duration of shift
  • Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
  • Willing to wear face mask
  • Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Manager Certification
  • Food Service license/certification: ServSafe Allergens Certification
