Location: Remote - United States

We design and implement network and security technologies for organizations. As part of this team, you will help choose the right IT tools to maximize the effectiveness of deployed defenses and rapidly troubleshoot impacted systems.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will serve as operational engineer for the technologies that the Network Security area of corporate Cybersecurity support.  You will ensure that all system components are maintained, updated, monitored, accessible, and available according to Cybersecurity standards.  You will partner with other cyber engineers in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of diverse solutions.

You will:

  • Engage teams to manage and complete assigned tasks related to deployment and implementation as well as process automation

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response of all platforms to ensure up-time and availability

  • Provide day-to-day operational support and response to key partners and customers to address reported issues related to suspicious or potentially malicious activity

  • Secure the products in accordance with Dell guidelines and industry best practices for system build configuration

  • Create and maintain technical documentation

  • Provide on call support; after hours support may be required

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of related cybersecurity engineering/operations experience

  • Experience with firewalls (e.g. Checkpoint, Palo Alto and/or SonicWALL)

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)

  • Experience with security processes and documentation

Desired Requirements

  • Industry certifications relevant to the role such as: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, ACE, etc.

  • Experience with logging technologies (e.g. Splunk)

  • Good scripting and automation skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell, etc.)  

  • Experience with Cloud environments and/or NSX
