Job Description:

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Facilities Engineer in Dulles, Virginia. As a Facility Engineer you will be responsible for all phases of the project management process. You will lead a collaborative effort of stakeholders to accomplish all aspects of planning, ROM development, design, reconfiguration, construction & tenant buildout in support of ongoing real estate and business unit initiatives. You will routinely coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (architecture / engineering firms & real property landlords) in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings; prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition; reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Plans, coordinates, and allocates office space for all locations. Develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs. Develops and implements modular furniture design and installation. Coordinates large scale moves to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of applicable experience including facility engineering or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in building ROM estimates in support of construction & tenant buildout actions . Ability to travel locally and domestically to job sites
  • Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain at least a Secret security clearance. Knowledge of facility operations and related services
  • Working knowledge of construction trades.
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD, MS Project, MS Office Suite.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Must be attentive to detail and produce a high quality of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate well at all levels of audiences using clear and concise language.
  • Proven ability to work well as a member of a team environment and under high stress situations.
  • Proven ability to listen and interpret internal customer and stakeholder project requirements and translate concepts to functional design objectives.
  • Must have proven ability to understand technical issues in sufficient detail to effectively articulate design concerns to Senior Management.

  • Project Management background / experience, PMP preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAFM / IWMS system.
  • Understanding of space classifications.
  • Knowledge of building codes, NFPA, and OSHA.
  • Ability to multi-task.
Required Education and Experience:
  • This position typically requires a Bachelors' Degree in applicable major in Architecture, Construction, Engineering and 5 years of experience OR equivalent an combination of education and experience
