How You'd Spend Your Day

• Cataloging and communicating patient needs to Specialist and/or other clinical personnel.

• They will work directly with psychiatry staff to maintain patient records, triage all calls to our psychiatry department, and record in our EHR systems all patient requests for refills and/or concerns for physician review

  • Checking patients in and out, collecting registration forms and identification, and collecting payments

  • Demonstrate regard for the dignity and respect of all patients

  • Demonstrates competency and professional responsibility

  • Complies with personnel policies

  • Maintains confidentiality when interacting with patients, families, personnel and the public

  • Maintains positive public relations image with peers, patients and visitors by presenting a positive, helpful attitude

  • Receives and documents telephone messages and records all requests in EHR system for Physician follow-up

  • Utilizes photocopy and facsimile machine

  • Confirms appointment schedule and follow-up of missed appointments

  • Maintains a neat, clean and functional work station

  • Prescription prior authorizations

• Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (can be obtained later)
  • Record session notes and schedule patient visits using EMR and medical scheduling software
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a heart of compassion and empathy towards our patients and families
