WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Practice Area People Manager within BCG’s Energy Practice Area (PA), you will be sought as a thought partner, supporting leadership in setting the strategic people agenda and defining implementation activities for the business while also providing ad hoc support for priority initiatives across the PA. You will work closely with PA leadership, especially the PA People MDP, to advance priority people topics (e.g., diversity, Energy PA purpose transformation) for the Energy team. You will manage the creation of and facilitate the implementation of the people plan, supporting Regional PALs on recruiting, staffing, career development and pipeline topics. You will also manage the internal communications pipeline and drive learning and affiliation activities.

- Self-starting with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously and in a multinational team
- Complex project management with the ability to multi-task and drive advanced strategic analysis (beyond data) and leverage results for impact
- Working closely to develop and enhance people initiatives – developing a plan to manage the people networks and support the success of consultants with the practice involvement
- Affiliation, communication and training - organizing internal/ external events and calls, develop agendas for meetings and preparing communication, coordinate calls, Virtual Trainings, LAB activities, own PA platforms, and develop PA internal communications / newsletters on regular basis.
- Earning the respect of a very senior cohort, all Managing Directors, that are remotely located, juggling the various priorities and viewpoints of the Leadership Team members, showing influence to compile inputs and opinions from the Leadership Team members, while still meeting demanding deadlines
- Working independently to identify need for, scope, gain endorsement and drive implementation of impactful people initiatives
- Bring creativity and novel approaches to solving problems
- Operating effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to prioritize and make decisions
- 5+ years of consulting experience or 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience
- University Advanced degree and demonstrated high academic achievement, strong preferred
- Ability to manage and drive area of accountabilities, contributing to higher level agenda setting
- Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen
- Strong interpersonal skills, credibility
- Ability to influence senior members of the PA and beyond
- Ability to respect sensitive client, BCG, and people related information as personal and confidential
- Excellent English skills (written and spoken)
- Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
