Position Description:
This company is a subsidiary of a large automotive company in the area who is seeking Mobile Software Engineers (Android), to work within the Enterprise Connectivity organization. At this company, our mobile software engineers are responsible for developing new features and apps needed to integrate smart devices with vehicle systems. Mobile software engineers are also able to work on new technology and ideas that don’t always directly involve vehicles. All engineers at this company work together in a flat organization to deliver innovative and cutting edge software. We are looking for the best, forward-thinking minds to join us as we build connectivity solutions for vehicles, the home, and beyond. The primary focus is connecting content and services to hardware products for a variety of new applications. All of our software engineers work together as one team.
Skills Required:
-Minimum of 2 year post-college working experience - Android Development skills -Javascript -Must have a passion for writing code -Ability to think on your feet and solve complex problems
Skills Preferred:
*1+ years Android development *1+ years Additional programming language experience (C++, C, JavaScript,etc) *Bluetooth, BLE, Wifi, and/or other wireless programming experience *Web Communication Standards (HTTP, JSON, REST, etc) *Testing and validation experience (JUnit, Android JUnit) *Automotive experience a plus *Experience working with bytecode, input/output streams, and multi-threading design *Preferred having one or more apps on Android Play Store *Preferred having experience with NDK
Experience Required:
*1+ years Android development *1+ years Additional programming language experience (C++, C, JavaScript,etc)
Experience Preferred:
-Experience in Automotive -Experience with Scrum or other agile methodologies -Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, Go, Swift, or Objective C -Experience with Amazon Web Services -Experience with Android or iOS development -Contributions to open source projects -Experience with Docker containers -Experience with continuous integration and deployment -Experience creating, configuring, and maintaining high availability cloud infrastructure
Education Required:
Four-year degree in computer science, EE/CE or equivalent
* Position will be part of larger company Application Development * High-Level responsibilities include: * Build out native Open source development * Meet development demand, and to set future hardware/software patterns
