Experienced Estimator - Must know Xactimate Software

Salary: $35,000-$50,000 (Rate of pay will be established based on experience) 

Summary:  Industry Leading Restoration/Construction company looking for an experienced estimator to join our construction department. Must be detail oriented while providing outstanding communication skills. The estimator is essential in establishing an approved scope of work with insurance adjusters, providing guidance to homeowners while selections are being made, and providing project managers with a project ready for scheduling. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with Manager, teammates, homeowners and referring insurance agencies; uphold John Grace’s professional reputation
• Daily responsibilities include, but not limited to; schedule meetings with homeowners, establish repairs needed after a loss has occurred, write estimates / work with insurance adjusters to determine an approved repair scope, and provide the homeowner with budgets for applicable finish selections
• Drive company vehicles to job sites, adhere to all company policies and procedures; paying special attention to health and safety procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
• Work with project managers to relay pertinent job information effectively
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Professional, organized, highly detail oriented, outstanding interpersonal skills, and has the ability to take and give direction 

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Proficient in Xactimate estimating software, knowledge and understanding of insurance claims 

Experienced in restoring homes with damage resulting from fire, wind, and water

Estimating / construction experience

Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. 

Candidate for employment must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record. Candidate must pass a criminal background check in order to perform work on insurance related claims. Basic knowledge of smartphone/email technology.

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Salary rate up to $75,000 (Rate of pay will be established based on experience)
