Allerdice Building Supply, Inc. - Delivery Driver Wanted

Established lumber and building supply company based in Saratoga Springs, NY is seeking
a full-time driver. CDL license is not required, however you must have a valid and insurable
driver’s license. No overnight stays are required.

Must be capable of lifting anywhere from 5lbs to 100lbs. This position is not a “no-touch
freight” position. Applicants should expect to be handling, loading, securing, and
unloading lumber, building supplies, doors and windows.

The main function of this position will include the delivery of customer orders and store
transfers which includes, but is not limited to:

• Review the order and pick the respective quantities and products.
• Load and safely fasten the order onto the vehicle for safe transport.
• Drive the order to its destination in a safe and efficient manner.
• Deliver and offload the order in accordance with the desires of the customer.
• Communicate with customers in a positive and professional manner.
• Review the order with the customer and obtain a delivery sign-off.
• Return the vehicle and paperwork to the main store for your next delivery / order.
• Maintain a driving log.
• Remain in communication with your supervisor / dispatcher for instructions.
• Keep the company vehicles in clean condition and report any problems.

When not making deliveries, you will be required to provide customer service at our store
and assist with unloading vendor trucks, filling propane, putting stock away and
contributing to a clean and presentable lumber yard.

Hourly rate of pay is commensurate with experience and ranges between $18 - $24 per
hour. The company offers Health Insurance, 401K with matching, an employee discount,
vacation and sick time.
