We are seeking a Monitor Technician  for our facility to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

The Monitor Technician / Unit Clerk  demonstrates proficiency in transcribing physician orders, using the order-entry system, and monitoring patient cardiac rhythms and vital signs via monitor. 

  • Ensure completion of unit specific assigned tasks (e.g. census logs, telemetry logs, etc).
  • Ensure admits, discharges, and transfers are appropriately entered into the computer system.
  • Informs Charge Nurse, in real time, of any issue regarding admit, discharge, or transfer of a patient.
  • You will perform on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms and/or vital signs.
  • Accurately and efficiently enters/scans orders or documents into the electronic order entry system and/or medical record.

 is a 173 bed, acute care facility, Level III Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, and Accredited Chest Pain Center. We primary serve the areas of Franklin, Anderson, Owen, Woodford, Shelby, and other surrounding counties.   


 

  • American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Healthcare Provider upon hire or completed during orientation period (required)

  • Previous experience with cardiac monitoring. Must be able to successfully identify cardiac rhythms within the initial orientation period. (preferred)

  • Secretarial experience and previous experience and exposure to medical terminology (preferred)
