POSITION: 

Caretaker

SITE: 

I-70 East & West bound, Hebron, OH 43025

DAYS/HOURS:  Up to 40/hrs per week   First Shift 7:00am – 3:00pm Sunday through Saturday


DUTIES:
This position is responsible for completing the general cleaning of assigned area.  General cleaning tasks include, but are not limited to: Vacuuming, sweeping, wet and dust mopping, stripping and waxing floors, shampooing carpet, trash removal, restroom cleaning, vent cleaning, wall washing, window washing, high and low dusting, detail cleaning, and snow removal. Lawn care/landscaping tasks may include, but are not limited to:  Picking up litter and debris on grounds and landscaped areas, sweeping sidewalks, weeding and mulching flower beds, emptying and disposing of charcoal grill residue, panting and watering flowers, trimming trees and bushes, mowing grass and trimming along sidewalks and snow removal from sidewalks and other walkways.


REQUIREMENTS:
Employer conducts pre-employment drug screen.
Must be able to pass background check.

Follow all safety regulations.

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize job duties.
Must have the physical ability to walk long distances, stand & climb stairs for up to 8 hours with break.
Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat, reach, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to communicate well with the public.
Must have ability to read directions and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to work independently & unsupervised for long periods of time.
Must have attention to detail. Stand, climb stairs, and walk long distances for up to 2 hours. Bend, twist, stoop, squat, and reach. Lift, carry, and push weight up to 50 pound... Weight requirement of 50 pounds if performing floor work.

For snow and ice removal: work outside in inclement weather conditions from 30 minutes up to 2 hours without a break, push and lift snow shovel with snow and ice weighing up to 50 pounds, perform simple grasping to use ice pick, and distribute ice-melting chemicals

For lawn care/landscaping tasks:  work outside in inclement weather conditions from 30 minutes up to 2 hours without a break, push a lawn mower, lift to remove equipment from trailer, ride a lawn mower, and use handheld lawn maintenance equipment.


RATE OF PAY:  $11.50/hr - Non-Exempt

Requirements

PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Employees who work 35 or more hours per week will begin accruing paid time off immediately, according to hours worked each week (calculation of hours worked includes regular hours and PTO.) Time can be used after completion of 90-day introductory period. Calculations are based on the following percentages:1-4 years- .046154, 5-6 years- .065385, 7-9 years- .084615, 10+ years- .103846.For example: A new employee worked 72 hours on the first payroll. They would accrue 3.32 hours (72 x .046154).On the next payroll they work 80 hours. They would accrue 3.69 hours. Total PTO is now 7.01 hours.

PTO is used for the following Holidays:  New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.  If enough PTO is not available on any covered Holiday, the holiday will not be paid.  If an employee works on a covered Holiday, PTO will not be deducted.  It is the employee’s responsibility to inform HR of their work schedule on a Holiday.  One unpaid Holiday:  Easter.

INSURANCE – $5,000 Company paid life insurance after one year of service for employees who work twenty hours or more per week. Employee paid dental and vision insurance available.

RETIREMENT – 403b Tax Deferred Annuity available.  Employee contributions, company does not match.

BEREAVEMENT LEAVE – Up to 3 days leave for employees working 35 or more hours per week after completing 90-day introductory period. See Policy 6.06.
