Synergy Health Partners is currently seeking an Senior Data Analyst and Developer focusing on operations planning, actual to forecasted results analysis and performance optimization. This individual will utilize their finance skillset and develop their ability to dig deep and summarize key points and results. This role requires significant interaction with key leadership and support services leaders on a monthly basis and requires strong communication and presentation skills.
This position is on-site in our Troy, MI offices 2-3 days per week.
Under limited supervision, the Data Analyst is primarily responsible for analyzing and reporting, aggregating, and analyzing organizational datasets providing the finance and operating departments with information and analytic support for the business lines. The successful candidate will Partner with all divisions and departments of the organization to analyze, mine, understand and interpret the financial and operational data. This position plays a critical role in providing senior management an assessment of historical and forward-looking financial performance, including analysis of variances and trends, risks and opportunities, and communication of insights. The role requires strong organization and communication skills, while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
The ability to efficiently and effectively update, analyze, monitor, and run multiple scenario’s on large data sets is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Operations team as well as Finance teams with development and publishing of data-driven modeling for the business
- Meet with departmental leaders to build annual budget
- Review monthly actual results to forecast in detail and discuss any significant or unusual variances
- Provide results presentation monthly for consolidation into the monthly reveiw package
- Assist with long term planning
- Build financial models for strategic initiatives
- Support and attend senior leadership and board results presentations
- Support requests for ad-hoc data analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science or Finance
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 4-6+ years’ experience in a data analyst or related role
- Expert Level in use of Excel
- Moderate to highly skilled in SQL, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills, customer service and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills
