Job Description

Medical Front Office Administrator Daily Responsibilities: 

  • Scheduling new and follow-up patient appointments.
  • Check in patients as they arrive, verify information, collect co-payments, verify demographic information.
  • Answer calls promptly and retrieve messages.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for clinic and/or outside testing.
  • Collect co-payments.
  • Assemble all new patient and hospital follow-up charts.
  • Distribute faxes promptly. Checks server periodically for new faxes.
  • Reviews schedule and checks for all tests and/or referrals ordered from doctor.
  • Checks in chart and electronic medical record (EMR) for documents.
  • Completes medical records.

Medical Front Office Administrator Requirements:

  • Must have HS Diploma or GED
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Must have at least 1 year of medical front office experience
  • Must have EMR (NexGen highly preferred)
  • High level of customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Must have experience with a high-volume office seeing at least 60+ patients per day (this office sees 70-90 patients per day)

 

Medical Front Office Administrator Hours for this Position:

Monday – Friday, 8-5
