The University of California, Davis, Department of Surgery
Academic Breast Surgeon/Surgical Oncologist

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis located in Sacramento, California seeks to recruit a full-time Academic Breast Surgeon/Surgical Oncologist at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level in the Clinical X, Health Science Clinical Professor or In-Residence series depending on experience and qualifications. UC Davis has an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The selected candidate will work within the Division of Surgical Oncology and broadly within the UC Davis NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The emphasis of this recruitment is for a breast surgical oncologist who specializes in all areas of breast surgical care. The successful candidate will have substantial opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and will be expected to leverage the strengths of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in translational research, including the development and implementation of clinical trials.

The candidate will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research and university service depending on academic series. Expectations of the Clinical X and In-Residence series is to engage in teaching, research, service, and clinical work. Expectations of the Health Science Clinical Professor series is to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support the departments research mission.

Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.

Basic Qualifications:
* Must possess a Medical Degree.
* Completion of an approved Breast or Surgical Oncology Fellowship with an emphasis in breast care.
* Ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment.

Additional qualifications (required at time of start)

* Must be able to obtain a California Medical License (before the appointment start date)
