Job Purpose

The In Process Quality Inspector is responsible for inspection of in process material during the manufacturing process.  and other duties as directed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Responsible for adherence to the Cardinal Rules of Safety Responsible for inspecting materials and parts throughout the manufacturing process

Working closely with machine operators, team lead, supervisors, etc. to establish inspection protocol Inspection parts in accordance with established requirements (blueprints, Engineering Change Orders (ECR’s), customer requirements, internal company standards, etc.

Perform in-line inspection to identify issues earlier in the process and work with manufacturing to address the issues as directed Working with minimal direction Ability to interpret blueprints, quality inspection plans, procedures, and work instructions. Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good attendance Follow company policies and procedures Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent, based on education and work experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

ISO 9001 or IATF Internal Auditor certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

One-year experience in a quality manufacturing role preferably with an active certified quality system. Experience in inspection Experience in measurement usage Experience with GD&T CMM experience a plus Inspection experience using blueprints (interpretation, etc.) Attention to detail Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and windows-based programs. Ability to read and understand 2D drawings Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with people at all levels in numerous functions. Must be able to maintain a high activity level and be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities independently. Dependable accuracy, organization, and efficiency in work. Must be fluent in English (Bilingual is a plus) Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs occasionally. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
