Job Description
Delivery driver needed for wholesale distributor of building supplies. Deliveries consist mainly of screen fabric, frame, windows and doors. Delivery route includes Arizona statewide and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High School Diploma/ GED
Essential Skills:
- Ability to safely operate vehicle and obey all safety and traffic rules
- Good customer service, attitude and communication skills
- Time management skills to maintain daily schedule set by scheduler
- Punctual and dependable
- Read, write and speak English, attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team and help motivate others
- Must have an excellent attendance history with a work ethic to match
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to pass a drug screen test and background check
· Must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds from ground level
· Ability to work in all weather conditions including indoor and outdoor
Job Functions:
· Pull, load and unload product to be delivered
· Deliver products to customers in a prompt, safe, professional and friendly manner, top priority should always be taking care of customer needs related to delivery of products
· Stack products and materials on customer premises and collect payment or obtain receipt for goods when applicable
· Keep company truck organized and review route and insure products on delivery route are loaded
· Complete daily log and conduct pre-safety inspection of vehicle
· Clean, maintain and refuel vehicle as needed
· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
· Non-delivery days will be spent stocking warehouse, pulling orders, counting inventory, cleaning and organizing inventory
· Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records
