DAMASCUS BAKERIES is a 3rd Generation Bakery founded in 1930. We have two baking facilities in Brooklyn, NY, Newark, NJ, and Clifton, NJ. Our products include Pitas, Lavash, Wraps, Flatbreads, Pizza Crusts, Breadsticks, Sandwich Buns, and more. We have a very strong- and even historic- presence in the Metro New York market. Since 2000, we have expanded our capacity and distribution to the National Market, supplying and partnering with many of America's top QSR's, Casual Dining Restaurants, Food Service Establishments, Retail, Club and Natural Stores, Institutions, Distributors, and other Bakeries. For many of our customers, we have been the Product Development arm that has created some of America's most Successful and Award-Winning Flatbreads.

JOB SUMMARY:

Deliver the company’s products to various destinations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Do pre and post trip truck inspections and report any and all vehicle maintenance issues. Enter truck inspections into Safety Chain.

· Maintain the electronic driver log accurately on a daily basis.

· Ensure proper documentation is available in the vehicle prior to operation.

· Ensure vehicle is equipped with e-z pass and with fuel when in use.

· Ensure safe, timely and quality delivery of company products to prescribed destinations.

· Return all company equipment to the plant as required.

· Load and unload trucks as required.

· Check and count all loads for accuracy of billing and sign the necessary documents.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

· Ensure trucks are kept clean and in a food safe condition.

· Report any issues with the trucks that will require maintenance such as physical damage.

· Report to work on time and prepared for motor vehicle operation.

· Assist in special projects when use of the Forklift is essential.

· Maintain an excellent record of safe driving and always abide by the rules of the road.

· Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect

• Comply with company GMP policies and guidelines

· Perform other responsibilities as directed

REQUIREMENTS:

· Valid Drivers License: (minimum CDL class B) with air brakes certification.

· Forklift Operation / Certification.

· Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 80 pounds.

Must be able to work weekends.
