Medical Billing/Coding Specialist in Newton, MA

Or client in the healthcare field is looking for a Medical Biller/ Coder to join their team! They are looking for a long term associate who is positive, driven, and dependable. The right candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in a medical billing environment. They must also have experience in Medical Coding. This is a DIRECT HIRE Opportunity, meaning that you will immediately be put on to the Company's payroll and benefits.

*CPC/ CPC-A CERTIFICATION HIGHLY PREFERRED*

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm (1 hour lunch)

Pay: $22-27/hour Depending on Experience

Qualifications for Medical Billing/Coding Specialist:

• 3 years experience in a physician/billing environment
• Strong understanding of medical terms, anatomy, and physiology
• Familiarity with Modifiers
• Strong attention to detail
• CPC/CPC-A certification preferred but not required
• Must be Fully Vaccinated
• Must know how to Code

Responsibilities for Medical Billing/Coding Specialist:

• Coding Operative Reports, telemedicine, office visits
• Verifying insurance coverage, referrals, and authorizations
• Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies
• Managing the status of accounts, balancing, and identifying discrepancies
• Answering patient, staff, and physician questions
