Delivery Driver, Full Time, Please read this all the way through.

SUMMARY

Responsible for food deliveries to specific locations as scheduled by Lead Driver and Operations Manager. Ensure that the meals are delivered in a timely manner. All daily driver site delivery logs are accurately completed and turned into Lead Driver or Operations at the end of work shift. Report all truck maintenance issues to Lead Driver and Operations Manager. Follow all federal, state and local DOT regulations. Must have DOT Medical Card and be Vaccinated for Covid-19 or willing to get vaccinated.

Full Time Day Position Monday - Friday some weekend availability may be needed

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Load truck with all food and nonfood items needed in an organized and accurate method to avoid forgetting anything and potential product damage
  • All daily paperwork is accurately and thoroughly. Delivery times, special notes (unexpected site closing, site refusing food, etc.) and site contact receiving signatures must be completed before turning in paper work at end of shift
  • Follow delivery time schedule of food to customers, and report any delivery problems, product quality issues and site complaints to Lead Driver in a timely manner
  • Perform daily truck maintenance check and report any issues to Lead Driver
  • Maintain required driver licensing/DOT medical card and follow all federal, state and local traffic laws

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist packers and kitchen staff as requested by Lead Driver, Lead Packer, Operations Manager and Culinary Management
  • Cleans hot food storage containers and inside of truck on a daily basis
  • Follows all food safety standards as determined by Baltimore City Health Department and Kidz Table
  • Complete all other tasks as requested by management
  • Attends and participates fully in all required staff meetings
  • Other duties assigned within the scope of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated commercial driving experience with a current driver’s license
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • DOT Medical Card
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Covid-19 Vaccination or willing to get vaccianted.
  • Commitment to customer service in a respectful manner
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • A positive work attitude and able to work well with other team members
  • Follow directions and ask for clarification as needed

  • Type of work:

_____SEDENTARY WORK: Lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying small articles and occasional walking and standing.

_____LIGHT WORK: Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. It involves sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing/pulling of arm/or leg controls.

__ ___MEDIUM WORK: Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 pounds.

__X___HEAVY WORK: Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects no more than 50 pounds.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
