Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems currently has openings for multiple Mechanical Engineers to join our team of qualified diverse individuals. These positions are located in Palmdale, CA and surrounding areas. There are multiple shifts available, which include 1st or 2nd shift on one of the following work schedules: * 4/10 (10 hr/day Monday - Thursday)
* 3/10 (10 hr/day Friday - Sunday with Pay Premium to equate 40 hr/wk)
* 9/80 (9 hr/day Monday - Friday with every other Friday off)The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:
* Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products systems which includes: instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines.
* Mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
* Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Mechanical Engineer Basic Qualifications:
* B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline with ABET accreditation (Mechanical, Aerospace, or applicable equivalent) 0 years' experience in job-related Engineering field
* Experience working with 3D CAD Software
* Experience working with product life-cycle management tools
* Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance (investigated within the past 6 years) * Must have the ability to obtain additional program security access prior to starting Preferred Qualifications:
* 1-2 years Aerospace Engineering experience
* Specialty experience in one of the following areas: Structural Design, Structural Analysis, Liaison Engineering, Subsystems Engineering, or Material and Processes
* Experience working on Special Access Programs or military aircraft platforms Salary Range: $61,900 USD - $92,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
