SPED: Full Time Special Education Teacher/Educator Position need for School Year 2022/2023 in Rockford, IL.

Hours & Caseload:

• Full-Time: 37.5hrs per week
• Caseload: 5th-8th grade (self-contained social emotional learning foundations classroom, students with Autism, SLD, and Other Health Impairments.)
• Start Date: 08/18/2022-05/26/2023

Education, Experience & License:

• Master’s Degree
• Certified and License

Specific Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop Individual Educational Plans for each student assigned.
• Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned for students and show written evidence of preparation required.
• Conduction on going assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
• Be a positive role model for students
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
