Job Description
Bark Barbecue Café is a wood-fired eatery serving traditional barbecue sandwiches, pastries, soft serve, and coffee. Our mission is to build community and relationships through food cooked over live fires.
We are a family business, focused on building relationships by sharing our passion for barbecue and desserts. We first began as a pop-up, showcasing our barbecued food throughout the DMV. Now, we are excited to be opening our first brick and mortar wood-fired café – a small format barbecue eatery.
We are looking to add passionate individuals to our team, who are enthusiastic about food and building meaningful relationships.
Job Description: Barista/Cashier/Front of House
Make and serve all beverage menu items with precision and quality.
Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
Operating POS and cash register duties.
Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee, beverage and café menu.
Restock items in front of house, as needed, including retail items.
Manages front of house stock and inventory, including but not limited to coffee, beverages, cups, containers and smallware, retail items. Gives order list to Café Manager on daily basis.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; reporting repair needs to Café Manager.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Running food orders to customers, cleaning service and seating areas of the café.
Weekly inventory.
Requirements/Qualifications
2+ years as barista or equivalent
Be able to work 8+ hour shifts
Experience with coffee and tea
Excellent team building skills
Great attitude
Ability to work in fast-pace environment
Available to work weekends
