Job Description
DESCRIPTION: CNC MILL & LATHE OPERATORS
Growing Aerospace and Defense manufacturer has openings for 2nd shift CNC Mill and Lathe operators who are interested in upgrading their skills and moving to a higher level position.
The candidate must have 2 to 4 years experience as a CNC Mill or Lathe operator, experience with Haas and Fanuc controls preferred.
Experience with 4-axis Horizontal Machine Centers and 4-axis vertical mills desired, 5-axis experience is a plus for mill positions.
For Lathe, experience with 2 axis turning centers to 5 axis lathes with live tooling is desired.
Operator must be able to perform basic program edits and be able to set tools
Operator must have experience in the use of basic measuring tools (dial calipers, ID, OD micrometers, bore gages, thread gages).
Be able to understand SPC requirements and fill out SPC charts.
Perform 1st article measurements as directed by lead person or Production Manager, understand and be able to fill out 1st article paperwork.
Must be able to read and understand English to interpret blueprints, industry specifications and work order instructions.
A&R will provide training to enable the candidate to move into CNC machinist and Setup machinist position.
The candidate must have impeccable attendance and be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
