VHG Service Ethos Polished • Prompt • Knowledgeable • Guest Focused • Team Oriented Role Summary A Server at Vandelay Hospitality Group is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests. The Server is expected to perform in a hospitable, efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive and anticipatory to guests’ needs. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed, while exceeding expectations of all. Key Responsibilities Maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest. Develop and retain a complete knowledge of all food, beverage, and dietary restrictions to answer guest questions. Ensure all steps of service are followed. Offer recommendations, take orders, and develop relationships with guests to deliver personal and notable experiences. Ensure all orders in and out of the kitchen are accurate, on time, and of standard to guest expectations. Execute opening and closing procedures associated with assigned station. Work seamlessly and communicate with Sommeliers, Managers, and Server. Assistants to assure guests’ have a valuable overall experience. Handle disputes and/or complaints with the utmost respect, professionalism, and hospitality and go above and beyond to always accommodate special request. Attend Food, Wine and Team training opportunities. Develop and train Server Apprentice team.
