Job Description
- HS diploma required
- Assist lead teacher with learning community and establishing classroom routines
- Assist lead teacher with daily routines and the implementation of the curriculum
- Ability to read lesson plans and assist with the implementation of them
- Prep and distribute meals during the day
- Greet families and scholars in the morning and assist with arrival and dismissal
- Help scholars with their self- adaptive skills including toileting
- Assist educators with the maintenance of a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
- Develop a positive relationship with each scholar and promote the development of self-esteem
- Establish a positive relationship with all stakeholders in learning community
- Ability to clean and sanitize the classroom
· Responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing child-centered program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each scholar enrolled and responsible for implementing the Pre-K for All Interdisciplinary Units of Study
· Meet weekly with Aim High Leadership Center staff to develop weekly plans and activities.
· Attend all staff meetings and in-service provided at the Center and professional developments offered by the DOE/DECE.
· Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem, self-discipline, and self-adaptive skills including tolieting.
· Establish a positive relationship with each scholar’s family and share information about the scholar’s day at the Center.
· Help parents to understand the curriculum and find ways to involve parents in the daily program.
· Conduct individual parent conferences at least twice a year to discuss each scholar’s growth and development.
