Minimum Requirements

6 - 12 Months in QC or QA Food Lab and Production preferred

Open to 2+ Years Food Production in GMP environment with Exposure to QC or QA in Food Manufacturing

Open to grad with Bachelors Degree and Interest in Food Science and Production with relevant degree in Food, Bio, Chem, or manufacturing science.

Open to Food Science or manufacturing school certifications from accredited educational institution

Job Description

• Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of initiative and flexibility

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

• Good oral/written communication skills Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision Proficient in window based PC programs Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance Knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Sanitation Practices Ability to lift 50lbs

• Possess the knowledge and understanding of Industry best practice maintenance on equipment

Responsibilities

• Implement Plant Sanitation programs as directed by the Quality Assurance Management Evaluate trends from test results and develop plans to correct deficiencies and communicate these plans to employees, and management

• Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Safeway quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification

• Time Management Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for sampling, testing, plating, reading, and recording product test results

• Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained

• Data Entry and tracking Following QC Hold Procedures for out of specification products Must possess the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP's)

• Will assist in the discipline to maintain a 5-S rating of an

• Be flexible in working hours

• Equipment calibration and troubleshooting Perform other duties as assigned

• Participate in driving continuous improvement

• Must meet with supervisor on a daily basis covering on any issues associated with production

Work Environment

The facility is a GMP environment and will require to wear a lab coat, hair net, and gloves if needed.
