Fitness Instructor

Cal-a-Vie Health Spa is seeking a part-time and full-time experienced Fitness Instructor to teach fitness classes to our guest and ensure the highest standard of fitness activity is performed. The Fitness Instructor provides leadership and guidance in the classroom through attentiveness to each guest exercise needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the classroom equipment in good working condition and restock supplies as needed
• Maintain a service-oriented environment within the group exercise classroom, through the personal recognition of guest and in providing guest with the safest and most effective regimen in helping them achieve their fitness goals
• Provide leadership and inspire confidence in the group exercise area, serving as a fitness role model
• Design class curriculums using current fitness trends and popular formats
• Maintain the classroom equipment in good working condition and restock supplies as needed
• To connect guest to other guest through ongoing contact with the guest and promotion of club activities
• To promote the facility amenities, programs and the Club while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service that aligns with the values, philosophies and standards of the club

Position Qualifications:

• Group Fitness certification and/or a personal training certification (required for one-on-one training sessions) and /or Bachelor degree in Kinesiology or Physical Education including class format certifications; CPR and AED certified; Specialty certifications required for Aquatics, Pilates, Yoga, TRX, and Tai Chi
• Extensive experience and knowledge of different types of fitness programs; Competent trainer with excellent levels of assessment and organizational skills
• Three (3) years’ experience as a fitness instructor desired

Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr. plus commission and gratuities
