Restaurant Manager

We're looking for a restaurant manager for the IceWorks Pub & Grill!

IceWorks is the busiest skating rink in the area supporting over 70 hockey leagues and has become a popular late night and weekend watering hole. The Pub & Grill started by serving our leagues and has now blown up to become a hot spot. Our team is seeking an energetic and ambitious manager to grow our restaurant customer base and bring in new sales. Do you have ideas you want to try to generate new business? This is your time to shine!

You will be responsible for tracking inventory and ordering supplies, managing daily preparation of menu items, scheduling staff to ensure there is sufficient coverage during each shift, and monitoring the flow of business during each meal service. At the close of each meal, you will reconcile receipts, cash intake, and tips, and lock up cash and other financial records into the safe. Our ideal candidate has at least worked as an assistant restaurant manager and is looking to move up.

Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Train and supervise restaurant staff
• Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing at all times
• Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
• Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary
• Manage the budget and keep relevant statistical and financial records
• Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees

Restaurant Manager Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role at a restaurant (assistant management counts)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to work late nights and weekends
• Flexible schedule
