Job Description
Ikaros Greek Restaurant in Oakland, CA is looking for one bartender to join our 24 person strong team. We are located on 3268 Grand Ave. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
- Interact with customers, including explaining the unique liquors and liquers in our signature Greek cocktails
- Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Qualifications
- Completed RBS (Responsible Beverage Server) Training
- Current safe food handlers certificate
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Knowledge of a second language considered a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Team-player / team-oriented

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts on Sundays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Compensation is $20.00 - $25.00/hour.
