Production Associate

Position Overview

This position includes assembling equipment components, sub-assemblies, and accessories. Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with overhead cranes and suspended loads.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and promote The Terex Way Values
  • Follow all safety regulations for themselves as well as other team member, including keeping the work area clean and in orderly condition as well as wearing all appropriate safety attire for the job that is being performed
  • Work as a team member to meet production demands set for the day
  • Build components utilizing hand tools such as torque wrenches, impact tools, drills, and mallets
  • Support the team on continuous improvement
  • Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards
  • Maintain tools and equipment in working condition
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and problems
  • Flex into other areas and departments as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and be able to work 10 hours per day, plus overtime when required
  • Use of hand tools and pneumatic tools
  • Ability to read blueprints

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working with hand and air tools is desired
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Previous experience working in a fast pace environment is desired
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment is desired
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements of the Job

Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy. Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work. Medium to heavy work is defined as:

  • 10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
  • 40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
  • Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift

  • Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information
  • Ability to have acceptable attendance for company standard; provides adequate notification; aware of impact on organization
