Job Description
Raise a Child of The Carolinas (The RACC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization focused on exposing youth to educational opportunities that are underrepresented in their communities, thus inspiring them to reach their full potential. The RACC organization was started in 2018 and provides local children with tutoring and seasonal camps. The RACC also partners with Mecklenburg County Schools to offer after school education solutions to supplement the day learning process.
The RACC is currently accepting applications for a Food and Nutrition Staff for the 2022-2023 school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.
JOB SUMMARY
- Dispenses and serves food and drinks to students and faculty. This role reports directly to the Food and Nutrition Manager.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Serves food and drinks to students and faculty.
- Monitors kitchen and cafeteria areas.
- Cleans tables and seats.
- Cleans up spilled food, drink or broken dishes and removes empty bottles and trash.
- Maintains adequate supplies of items, such as clean silverware, dishes and trays.
- Scrapes and stacks dirty dishes and carries dishes and other tableware to kitchen for cleaning.
- Washes pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.
- Stocks cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refills condiment containers.
- Locates items requested by students and faculty.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least 6 months in a cafeteria or school environment
