Job Summary: The General Manager is responsible for all aspects including sales, profitability, staffing, training and development, customer service, operations, marketing; hands-on day to day activities and operations of the restaurant, assisting in guiding the team to create a positive guest experience, ensuring the successful implementation of Jack’s initiatives and programs, assist in achieving or exceeding all established financial sales, and profitability plan, people metrics, all banking, and administrative responsibilities. 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Jack’s “culture”, beliefs and values to adhere to and grow the mission and vision
  • Accountable for the proper staffing and development of the restaurant with qualified personnel and employees who are trained and developed properly
  • Accountable for the continuous training and development of the restaurant Assistant Manager and Shift Managers
  • Ensure your team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
  • Set and meet restaurant goals for service, operations and financial results
  • Utilize daily systems to run a great restaurant, especially accurate projections and great schedules
  • Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Jack’s Policies and Procedures
  • Ensures the profitability of business by operating within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllable, cash control, utilities and sales growth
  • Coordinate and implement current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner
  • Maintains awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities
  • Represents Jack’s in a professional, positive manner at all times.
  • Communicates effectively any and all issues that may impact our business
  • Maintains restaurant equipment in full working order and communicates problems immediately
  • Monitor and reinforce safety procedures
  • Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 50 – 55 hours per week. Must be available to work a flexible shift including weekends
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Skilled in developing employees by coaching, counseling, and building strong work habits
  • Proven record of recruiting, interviewing and identifying high performing team members
  • Continuously working to improve customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of all restaurant policies, practices and operational and human resources procedures and the ability to teach, coach, train and enforce them
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of valid insurance and reliable transportation
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Manage conflict resolution
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Successfully complete all training and make a passing score on all applicable test

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

·       High School Diploma or GED required.

·       Must have (2) years of General Manager experience working in the restaurant industry; Quick Service Restaurant Preferred
