Job Description

The Legal Entity Manager will own and manage the Legal Entity Policy and Framework for U.S. Bancorp and its subsidiaries. As the Legal Entity Manager, you will be key in creating and managing processes and practices to support legal entity governance and oversight. This will include legal entity rationalization, inventory maintenance and reporting, development of a risk-based tool to support legal entity monitoring and training of key employees. This position will collaborate with Legal, Risk, and key business lines to manage the overall legal entity process.

Duties / Responsibilities

- Enforcement and maintenance of the Legal Entity Policy and Procedure Framework

- Development and implementation of risk-based tool to support legal entity monitoring

- Identification and tracking of legal entity key attributes

- Define and communicate legal entity business line role

- Identification and maintenance of legal entity business and legal owner

- Accurate recordkeeping of all legal entity inventory data elements

- Manage / lead the process for the creation, dissolution, merger, sale or realignment of legal entities

- Manage the annual legal entity rationalization process with legal, risk and business line

- Reporting and communication of Legal Entity structure

- Reconciliation and on-going maintenance of Legal Entity inventory and Archer

- Collaboration and communication with Regulatory Recordkeeping Oversight Committee on legal entity changes

- Develop and maintain legal entity training

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of related experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles, theories, and controls
- Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze and interpret data
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of applicable financial laws, regulations and reporting requirements
- CPA and supervisory experience preferred
