Lead Accountant

DIRECTV is seeking a Lead Accountant to join our Finance organization. This strategic leader will be responsible for developing, implementing and/or maintaining one or a combination of general accounting systems. While this is not a supervisory role, this individual contributor will be critical to the DIRECTV Finance Organization’s ability to successfully attain their business goals. Additional key responsibilities of this role include:

• Prepares journal entries, maintains, and reconciles ledger accounts.
• Manages record of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
• Balances books periodically and prepares profit and loss, income, and balance sheet statements.
• Oversee company receipts and disbursement reports.
• Analyze and interpret reports and records for managers.
• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results, and resolves problems.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Typically, 5-7 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with Oracle Cloud is beneficial
