Job Summary:

Disney Streaming’s Media Distribution Technology Organization is seeking a talented Business Strategy Lead to join the team.  This person will be responsible for helping drive optimal economics in a mission critical business function by providing responsible business oversight, vendor negotiations with a goal of supporting the global growth of Disney Streaming technology. Duties include but are rarely limited to coordinating with company leadership across finance and technology teams to improve business planning while maintaining positive relationships with a variety of distribution partners across Layer 3 and Layer 7 providers.

 Responsibilities: 
 

• Focus on the financial component of a complex distribution strategy

• Facilitate success in Engineering while aligning to CTO goals

• Enable sustainable growth on a global platform

• Support efforts to drive planning and profitability

• Maintain focus on business cases and cost saving targets

• Manage short and long term usage plans and distribution of services across vendors

• Converge best practices across Hulu/D+/ESPN

• Work tightly with Finance, Engineering and Sourcing

• Collaborate and drive results related to the following functions in Technology

• Inputs - Aggregate and identify data for modeling

• Analysis - Inform new and existing service analysis

• Forecasting - Create views of future periods based on data

• Optimization - Ensure capacity and optimal process

• Help manage 20 complex business development relationships/projects

• Explore new strategies in subscriber growth

Basic Qualifications: 
 

• Five + years of relevant work experience; ideally leading complex negotiations and multi-disciplinary projects. 

• Ambitious and results oriented with a bias to action - real passion for delivering exceptional results

• self-starter mindset with a proven ability to develop and implement solutions to complex problems with minimal oversight or direction

• Strong analytical, project management, and presentation skills to drive quantitative analysis, and influence decision-making

• Ability to thrive in a incredibly fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail

• Seamlessly transition from engaging with front line technical teams to providing updates to senior executives.

• Extraordinary communicator and collaborator - One Team approach

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Supply Chain. MBA a plus or equivalent work experience

Please note, this role is open to remote location through the continental U.S
 

The pay range for this position in Colorado is, $104,058 - $139,590 however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
