MEDICAL ASSISTANTS
for its Schenectady and Amsterdam offices!
Hometown Health Centers, a federally qualified health center with offices in Schenectady and Amsterdam, New York is seeking qualified Medical Assistants to work collaboratively with the patient care teams to support nursing and patient care needs within his/her scope of practice. The medical assistant will work a flexible schedule as necessary to support clinical operations. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program and documented certification as a certified medical assistant or successful completion of higher level nursing program is a plus.
Duties:
* Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
* Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
