We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position manages analyzes job costing, monitors inventory, prepares monthly journal entries and participates in monthly and year-end closings.
Responsibilities:
•\tPerform job costing duties, including verifying the assignment of accurate material and labor charges.
•\tAccounting of inventory related accounts at month-end closing including the support of physical inventories
•\tSupport the execution of the monthly close process with responsibility for recording transactions in the general ledger including scheduled computations of accruals, payroll, cash activity, cost allocations and reclassifications.
•\tResponsible for accurately reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts with supporting documentation.
•\tParticipate in business and operational initiatives including business process and operational improvements and cost savings initiatives.
•\tAssist in annual accounting close.
Requirements:
•\tAssociate's or Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field)
•\t2+ years of accounting related experience
•\tEnergetic, self-starter, ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment
•\tAttention to detail and solid organizational and workload prioritization skills
•\tTeam player with effective verbal and written communication skills
•\tStrong Microsoft Excel skills
