A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Pathology Department at one of their Bronx facilities as their newInfection Control Practitioner.
Responsibilities:
TheInfection Control Practitioner (RN) will be responsible for consulting with Physicians, Managers, and staff for the management of infectious and/or immune-suppressed patients.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Clinical experience in a Critical Care and/or Medical-Surgical Nursing setting
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and/or Healthcare related field
- Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification
- Experience in Infection Control
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree in a Clinical Specialty
- ICP or related certification
- Basic knowledge of the principles of Epidemiology & Infections, Diseases, Sterilization, Sanitation, and Disinfection practices
