Duties Include:
\n- \n
- Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan. \n
- Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities. \n
- Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities. \n
- Monitor Residents' performance in therapy activities, providing encouragement. \n
- Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function. \n
- Supervise Residents’ activities to ensure they are done properly. \n
- Report the Resident’s progress to the OTR/L. \n
- Responsibly and accurately document treatments and outcomes in rehab software. \n
Requirements Include:

- Graduate of an accredited OTA Program. \n
- Current New York State OTA License. \n
- Experience in long-term care setting a plus. \n

- About the area: Hornell is a city located in Steuben County (beautiful Finger Lakes region of NYS). It is a town environment with all the city conveniences. The nearby beautiful Finger Lakes provides many recreational and nature activities. Two state parks and four county parks just a short distance away. There is always something to do- boating, fishing, kayaking, hiking, skiing, wine tours, shopping, and restaurants. Alfred University is close by and offers vocational and occupational education programs at the Wildwood campus.
It is 45 minutes to Corning, 30 minutes to Watkins Glen, and 1 hour to Rochester. \n
