Police Officer Lateral

The Crofton Police Department is seeking a Maryland Certified Police Officer who is currently or previously certified. Certification Must Be Within MPCTC Guidlines. The starting pay is $59,281 with a Health & Dental plan along with a S.E.P. retirement plan. Also included is a car allowance of $3,900 per year ($150 paid bi-weekly).

A $3,000 retention bonus is awarded after completion of one year of service. 40 hours of extra vacation is awarded after successful completion of 90-day field training period.

Previous MPCTC certified candidates must have separated in good standing from a law enforcement agency within the last three (3) years from the date of hire.

Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their education and experience, Chief's interview, polygraph examination, psychological evaluation, and passage of a medical examination and background investigation as a condition of employment.
